Jessica B. Hoel
I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics and Business at Colorado College in Colorado Springs, CO. I am an applied microeconomist who specializes in experimental methods, and my work studies household decision-making, intra-household bargaining, and how people form beliefs and preferences.
Before joining Colorado College, I was an Associate Research Fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute, an Evaluation Coordinator for Innovations for Poverty Action–Kenya, and a Research Assistant at the Federal Reserve Board. I hold a PhD and MA in Economics from the University of Michigan and a BA in Math and Economics from Reed College.
